• 2-3 cloves garlic, to taste
  • 2 14-oz cans garbanzo beans (reserve some liquid)
  • ¼ cup Tahini paste (make sure it’s well stirred before using), or if using vitamix use ¼ cup whole sesame seeds
  • Juice of 1½ lemons
  • 1-2 T olive oil
  • Sea salt, to taste
  • Dash cayenne pepper
  1. Put garlic and garbanzo beans in food processor and process until nearly smooth.
  2. Add tahini, lemon juice, olive oil and cayenne pepper and continue processing.
  3. Add extra garbanzo bean liquid if too thick. Season with sea salt to taste.
Vitamix recipe:
Put all ingredients except salt into vitamix in order listed. Process for about 1 minute, gradually increasing speed and using tamper to mix all ingredients. Add reserved liquid from garbanzo beans if too thick. Once blended season with salt to taste. Serve with raw cut vegetables.
